Problems faced when shooting footage

Today we came to shoot some footage that we thought that we lacked of however as soon as we got to the location we have found out that the weather has suddenly changed. This meant that the shooting for the day had to be cancelled, the reason for this cancellation is because the footage that we could have obtained from today would not match the previous footage that was captured when the weather was sunny; this would mean that we would break the codes and conventions of music videos where the weather is usually the same at the same locations. This cancellation also means that we are going to be behind the schedule.
